Major Overhaul: Tina & Chan
Ok, so it has been a while since posting into this sucker, but life is still sweet snd glorious. Many hours in a shitty internet cafe in Coban and since then it has all been about price, time and photos not uploading, whata a bitch!
Anyway we hit Tikal after our long arse ride up to one of the shittiest hostels that I have stayed in, the bar closes at 9:30!? Headed out for a few hands of CA with Johhny and Dave, ate some great pizza and headed home relatively early.
Big Tikal the day after, ruins still look really cool but there are now staircases taking you to many a point, rather than slugging it like the Mayans. Great rock and roll photo though, after being accused of rock banding it! I think that it was Dave's shades that gave it away!
Headed out for our final night in Guatemala to Mi Disco, great dance floor, hi-fi and craziness! Chickened the shit out of it to get to Belize and although not really knowing where and why we would go, we headed to Caye Caulker, supposedly the cheaper island. Found a winner in Chan's supermarket first night in town, 95% rum. It pretty much carried us through our time in CC, a bottle a night between the three of us and occasionally some dinner. Tina's was the stuff though, no management and no rules. I was supposedly paying 5 US a night to sleep in my own hammock, but only paid $10 for 3 nights and slept 2 of 3 of them in the awesome cable tv, big mattress and air con room, cheers Tina. We sort of have a theory that Tina had run of Chan, neither present during our stay!
Dived the bluehole in Belize which was completely unaffordable but so worth the money that you pay for it! Amazing cave features, sharks, rays and heaps of life. Other 2 dievs were just as impressive. Very hung though, Maximus, Jo and I got stuck into our rum pucnh almost as soon as we could and sleep on the way home. Another rather large night at Oceanside, home and free bed!
Dragged our arses away from the 190 for long enough to get to Mexico were we spent our first week in Tulum, beautiful beaches and just a weird city! Spent most of the days sleeping away on the sand, followed by nightly parties hosted throughout weirdville. Maximus and Dave have moved onwards now, M to MC and Dave Palenque ways, great seeing the guy after so long, but even better travelling with him for almost a month. John is still on my trail though and we have met up with an english girl called Jo, Bay Island Business. Arrived in Cancun on Friday arvo and have been lost since. John and I managed to get ourselves kicked out of the main club here in less than 20 minutes, we weren't surprised.
Isla Mujeres on Monday as I count down the final days in Latin America, such good times!
