Advanced Diver & Fast Internet to Boot

So we originally came to Taganga & this part of Colombia because Lilla wanted to check out the close by National Park & Beaches whilst I headed into the Jungle for a 6 day hike to the 'Lost City' & back. When we got here though and found out about all the awesome dive options in the area, I gave up on busting my balls in this crazy heat and opted for a bit of underwater fun, so I have spent the last couple of days relaxing in Taganga and getting my Advanced Open Water Certificate. Awesome fun, got to Deep Dive where you may start to feel the effects of Nitrogen Narcosis (underwater drunk) @ 30 meters down but pulled it off without a hangover, headed out for a Drift Dive where you basically sit in a current and check out the scenry as you float by, a Photography Dive where you try and master the art of underwater photography (some good photos & bad, in a second), a Navigational Dive which is all compass action, a Fun Dive & to top it all off a Night Dive last night which was awesome! Felt like floating through space or something, lots of lobsters, eels fighting, night time fish and eeriness. My instructor took a video so hopefully I will be able to grab a copy of that to check out.

So another relaxing day in Taganga today but we decided to head into Santa Marta for a few items, some decent internet, a bus ticket through to Venezuela and maybe if all goes according to plan a bit of X-Men III. Off to Tyrona National Park tomorrow to check even more beautiful beaches and snorkelling whilst hanging in hammocks and chilling for a few nights before making tracks for Venezuela on Monday for a few days before we head to Miami on Thursday.

But first up, here are some happies from Cartagena, Playa Blanca & some Underwater Fish Action.....

Well I got 2 photos uploaded and now Blogger has decided to crash, love your work. Once again Ladies and Gentlemen, you will have to bare with whilst we sort out a few technicalities, Cheers
